After reading the well crafted website, it is easy to be convinced that this product really works. Well, we don’t agree and we don’t disagree. Simply, the claims are a little exaggerated.

SmartBurn is one of the array of products that cite the study on garcinia cambogia, chromium, and gymnema sylvestre extract. For us, the study loses its credibility because it was conducted at a university in Cameroon. Why would a North American company do a study in Africa? We’re not quite sure. It doesn’t make sense because our diet and culture differs so much from Africa’s. Also, it would also be easy to influence the results in such a poor nation, through financial means. Now that is just speculation, but you draw your own conclusions.

However, garcinia cambogia, chromium, and gymnema sylvestre are good ingredients that will help you lose weight, but most likely not the 12-15 pounds cited in the study. Hoodia and green tea are also great ingredients. The question is whether there are enough of these ingredients in each serving. There are only 1.5 grams of active ingredient in each serving. We doubt that is enough to help you lose much weight.
